2027 JUNIOR STATE CUP

Rockhampton – 8 to 10 July 2027

The 2027 Queensland Touch Football Junior State Cup will be held in Rockhampton, thanks to the support of Rockhampton Regional Council.

This 3-day action packed Touch Football competition brings and estimated 4,000 participants from over 260+ affiliate teams from across Queensland extending as far north as Cairns and as far south as South Tweed.

2027 Campaign Information

Coaching Staff

Caboolture Touch Association will soon be calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Coaching Staff to fill roles for our 2027 JSC representative campaign.

Coaching Staff play a vital role in the success and development of Associations teams. A quality Coaching Staff not only develop players’ technical skills and understanding of the game, but also help build confidence, teamwork, discipline, leadership and a positive sporting culture. At CTA, a strong coaching team creates an environment where participants feel valued, supported and motivated to improve, while also ensuring that training and competition are safe, enjoyable and inclusive. At CTA, our Coaching Staff consists of three (3) roles:

Lead Coach – Responsible for the overall coaching and development of the team. The Lead Coach plans and delivers training sessions, develops game strategies, manages player development and provides leadership and direction to the teams Coaching Staff. Lead Coaches must have a current Blue Card and a minimum Foundation Coaching Accreditation issued by Touch Football Australia.

Assistant Coach – Responsible for supporting the Lead Coach in delivering training and developing players. The Assistant Coach assists with drills, skills development, game-day preparation and player support, while stepping in to lead activities when required. Assistant Coaches must have a current Blue Card and a minimum Foundation Coaching Accreditation issued by Touch Football Australia.

Team Manager – Responsible for the administration and organisation of the team. The Team Manager acts as the main point of contact for players and families, coordinates communication, manages team information and ensures the team is prepared for training, games and other club activities. Team Managers must have a current Blue Card.

All Coaching Staff will be required to complete Child Safeguarding certification via online training provided by Sport Integrity Australia. Links to this will be provided to appointed Coaching Staff at a later date.

2027 Age Divisions

CTA will be looking to field teams in all available Age Divisions. Age brackets for both Boys and Girls Divisions for 2027 will be as follows:

Under 10’s – Born between 2017 and 2018

Under 12’s – Born between 2015 and 2016

Under 14’s – Born between 2013 and 2014

Under 16’s – Born between 2011 and 2012

Under 18’s – Born between 2009 and 2010

Note: Second teams are subject to Committee approval and will be dependant on a number of factors including player numbers, player growth opportunities and Coaching Staff/Referee availability.
